The Year Of The Netbook

This year I have really loved having a Netbook to work on because another thing I have loved about this device is that we can Play computer games on our netbooks.

As much as I have loved having a Netbook there are some things that I haven’t liked about netbooks is that there can be a long amount of time to wait for my netbook to be repaired. Another thing things that I dislike about netbooks is because the internet sometimes loads slow and takes a long time to connect.

The advantages about having a netbook is because we can search things online and can work faster with our netbooks because we can go on our Wireless WI-FI and work on our google docs. We never have to wait for any multi-media machines to be available becuse we have our netbooks.

All Blacks Triumphant Victory

Its the build up towards the France and All Blacks game. As I was watching the French highlights through out this tournament I knew that this game was not going to be a thrashing. But I had a change of mind when the All Blacks vicious tournament highlights of them destroying their oppenents with scores such as 87-0. Whatever the score was 1 team is going to come out with a smile of victory, the other will be crying there eyes out. The question is who will win?

It’s 8:55 pm as I was anxiously waiting for the Rugby World Cup Final. I was getting apprehensive about the match. So to get it off my mind I wondered what I could do while I was waiting,but before I could my Mum yelled out “Matthew the games just about to begin”. So I raced to the TV ready for an action pack adventure match for the Webb Ellis Trophy.

1st half kick off began with the French, All Blacks had first possesion and used it very well. They kept attacking the French line up with all they could. They secured lineouts, protected the ruck areas and mauled into the scrums. Within 15 minutes of the game Tony Woodcock squeezes inbetween the French player and dived for the try but sadly Weepu could not convert the goal but the score is laid at 5-0. This tough competition kept up untill the first half. Sadly the French did’nt have the drive to score against the All Blacks and the score stayed at 5-0.

I think the star for halftime is French captain Thierry Dusatoir. He has great breaks, secure rucks and I think he has lifted up the French player morales and lets see if they have a trick or two up their sleeve and they could win this thing. I wondered what the coaches would be saying to their teams.

Its the 2nd half and French have used the ball well using their bulked up bodies to get to the halfway line. Driving after driving,colliding after colliding the French had stepped their game up a notch and were hauled up just before their tryline. What ever they did they could not seem to get passed until the 47th minute came and Theirry Dusatoir took his game and raised to legendary mode as he crossed the line for France’s first try of the RWC final. And Trinh Duc converted the goal. But later in the match Stephen Donald was lined up for a penalty goal. He had a lot rushing through his head because if he missed his team would have been disappointed in him because he would have pretty much lost the match but if he got it in the All Blacks would have secured the World Cup trophy. So he took a deep breath, kicked it and ITS IN the score was now 8-7 with the All Blacks in the lead. Time was up France couldn’t come back NZ had won.

With the well deserved win that the All Blacks snatched up its time for the cup to be lifted by our captain fantastic Richie Mccaw. With former legendary All Black players each coming to line up VIP people also came such as John Key coming up to congratulate our All Black champions. But the time everyone has been waiting for. The cup was in front of Richie, he shook John Keys hand and up went the trophy. Not a single spectator left Eden Park because this was a special event. Well Done Boys, lets see if you they can win the 2015 world cup in England

One Day Of Fun

One day the teachers decided that it was time to have fun. So the year 7 and 8’s headed down to the bottom field and had a full on hour and a half of joy and excitement. Everyone had fun playing different activities and even some brain teasing events which were hilarious. My two all round highlight reels of the day, one of them was with Ms Tito. The other one was with Mrs Lagitupu.

Ms Lagitupu’s game was ball tiggy but this was a team game.The aim of this challenge was to grab a ball and throw it getting the members of the other team. You are not allowed to run with the ball but you can run to another spot without the ball. You can’t throw it at the person, you have to tag them with the ball. Also you’re not allowed to run out of the area you have to stay within the four cones placed in each corner. We also wore bands to represent our colours and we were red.

With the rules out of the way it was time to play. My strategic plan was to sprint around in a circle that way it would be harder to seal me in a trap. It was working but I got tired, I knew I couldn’t stop. Suddenly they got me in a trap of three people they were about to get me out but I scrambled to one side which got me out of the trap I was nearly encased in. Our team was running and there were three of us in, the rest of the team were out smarted and our team were the victors of the game. We congratulated our foes and headed to the next game.

Ms Titos event was very hard because the aim of this game was to catapult the ball off the sling shot and try get it to land into the hoops. If you got one into the blue hoops you get 20 pts and if you got it in the purple hoop which was the farest you would get 40. If you get it in the pink hoop which was the exceedingly far one of all the hoops you got 50 pts. There was a prize that the class with the most points got to have a water balloon fight

After many people tried so hard to get it they flunked and became a spectator but now I knew I had to step my game up. I schemed an intelligent plan in my head, hoping it would land exactly in the hoop. I wished myself ”Good Luck”.So I catapulted it and....it missed by a mile. Time had passed and it was yet to be conquered and I wondered who won the competition, I knew it certainly wasn't our class

Those were my favourite activities of the day. They were really exciting games and they gave me an adrenaline rush which got me hyped up about it. I cant wait to do something like that again. But maybe we could do something more sporty and different like play bull rush with the tags.

What we learned in AFL

What room 20 learned in AFL today was how to catch AFL style. We learned three new techniques of catching. The first catch we learned was the chest mark where you join your arms together and scoop up the ball. The second was the high mark where you put your hands up high and make a W shape with your thumbs touching each other. The third catch we learnt was the specky and that was short for spectacular catch. How to perform the specky is easy, first you jump up in to the air doing a springbok with one knee and hold out your arms to catch it(like picture to the right).

This is where I am at with Maths Whizz. I have 265 credits and my weekly usage is 13 times. For my picture on Maths Whizz as you can see its a robot, why I choose it was because robots are incredibly smart and that's what I want to be. But I lost some of my credit by clicking on games because I thought it would give me 45 credits if I won but it cost 45 credits and that's all the credit I had. So that's why I am so low on credits. Maths Whizz is awesome and you should try it.

The highlight of the term was going down to the science road show because it has different inventions. Another great thing was that my reading age is higher than a year 8. Next term I am looking forward to what we are going to be learning about.

Artwork with Ms M

We have been working on making little art portraits called motifs based on the types of masterpieces done by some artists. One of these artists was Phillip Clairemont and he produces art that he see’s in his normal life but makes it colourful and exciting. The other artist is Fatu Feu’u and he is a Samoan artist so he paints Samoan patterns all over the artwork he creates in his head. But what we are trying to do is create a mixture of Samoan and colourful patterns together to make something extraordinary.

What we had to do was to get photos of their artwork and that involved research so each person had to create 2 research profiles,one for Fatu Feu’u and one for Phillip Clairemont. We all grabbed famous paintings off the internet and some such as the ‘Scared Couch’ and ‘Triptych’ from Phillip Clairemont and ‘Ulu Malai Uli’ and ‘Conserved for Tomorrow’ from Fatu Feu’u. We studied each painting closely and knew that it was time to work on our artwork designs that we have been planning for weeks.

We worked on the little artwork portraits trying to make some new pattern designs by sketching the photos we took in our research profiles. I sketched the paintings ‘Ulu Malai Uli’, ‘Conserved for Tomorrow’ and ‘Ulu Manu Folau’ and blended them with some colours to make them admirable. With days and weeks of hard sketching it was finally done and within the next day we were with Ms M, we had to carefully cutting our artwork pieces out with a chisel. So once we had cut them out, they had been spray painted to perfection by some students from room 20 who were lucky enough to get the job.

Our piece of art is complete and has been put on a canvas and finally our hard work has paid off. Our artwork is not really traditional because we blended 2 types of art together however I still like it. It looks really creative and funky just like I imagined it would. Producing this piece of art has been really fun but now it has come to an end and I enjoyed every moment of it.

Swimming

Swimming has been great over the last 2 weeks and we have been learning some great but hard techniques with Miss Tito and also Mr Harris was joining in and trying to teach us the same thing. So I am going to tell you what we learned,what style we did, and what kind of technique we used.

When we got their on the first week we were learning how to go faster in freestyle by doing the technique called fingers. Fingers meant that we had to glide our fingers across the water instead of doing a full arm. At first I thought it was going to be easy but I was wrong it was a lot harder than what it seemed to look because everyone was failing.When it was my turn I tried my hardest to get it right but...... it was not good enough. Miss Tito was the teacher teaching us this technique which was terribly difficult and after the final day of week 1 swimming we still had not conquered it.

It was week 2 of swimming and we were ready to master fingers with Miss Tito when we realised that Miss T wasn’t here but Mr Harris was and he was the replacement teacher in swimming. So another lesson on fingers and another and another until finally someone had got it right and that person showed us how to do it and we actually learned the technique fingers. We had finally learnt it and everyone was proud of themselves. But swimming had to come to an end and it did but I’m still proud that I mastered fingers.

Its mate against mate,state against state as rivalry continues. This will be an epic battle between the reigning champions and my almighty favourite team QUEENSLAND challenge the blue NSW but this is QLD turf and they are going to make sure they put NSW out of their misery as they both make crowd booming entrances to perform their best for this special night.

BRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!As Queensland kicked off the New South Wales had the first feel of possession. But Queensland got possession on their side and also the lead when Cameron Smith puts a little chip in for Jonathan Thurston but Jonathan missed the first time but made sure he would plant the ball down the second time and he converted his own goal so the score was laid at 6-0 than later on Sam Thaiday ran through the defence line to score but was sadly held up by a bunch of New South players. Everything was going Queenslands way but all of a sudden the half time hooter sounded and the halftime score was 6-0.

I think the player thats playing the best is Darren Lockyer with his beautiful passes offloads and the way he plays,NSW never know what he is going to do. He is like a younger Wally Lewis. His skill when he sets foot on the field is extraodinary and if they dont stop this play making machine who knows how much Queensland could be leading by.

Science Roadshow Highlight

One intriguing thing I really found interesting was the air pump experiment where if you put in a ping pong ball and it shot up through the air like a machine gun. It was really cool and everyone wanted to have a turn. When you pulled the lever the air created a big cloud that was invisible and compressed the air which shot the ball through the air.

Philo Farnsworth was the genius behind the inventing of the television. People used it for entertainment by watching screens of black and white. Philo was born August the 19th 1906 in Utah in the United States but sadly died in Salt Lake City on March 17th in 1971. But the television was only black and white pictures instead of being bright colour like in our days. But did you know that the television was made in 1927. It looked like a small gadget used for watching entertainment.

Philo Farnsworth was an interesting guy. His parents wanted him to learn the violin but his love and interest was in electricity. At the age of 12 he created an electric powered washing machine and his family was the first ever ones to use it.

Kiwis vs Australia

Kiwis vs Australia/Match of the year candidate

The match of the year with the Kiwis travelling down to Aussie territory to challenge the mighty Australia. As both teams get ready to create an revolutionary rivalry they enter the field with integrity and determination to win against each other. I bet the fans will be thrilled to watch this fired up main event taking place in Skilled Park.

BRR!!!As the whistle sounded the match had begun within about 6 minutes the fantastic fullback Billy Slater scores with Jonathan Thurston converting the goal which left the score 6-0 to Australia. But yet again Australia prove their dominance by yet again crossing the try line thanks to Jrahal Yow Yeh the new comer to Australia but sadly Thurston could not convert this time but Australia dominating the score 10-0. With Australia having possession Darren Lockyer chipped the ball and Yow Yeh put up a good chase but sadly the ball dribbled over the dead ball line. From that mistake the Kiwis scored with the help of Matt Duffy another new comer scoring. Benji Marshall beautifully kicked the ball and it sailed between the posts. After that the half time hooter sounded and the players finally get a rest.

The second half has begun and in about the 60 minute mark yet again Slater scores again also having double tries. Yet again Thurston got the goal and the score is 16-6. It was one of the greatest matches I have ever seen with Jamal Idris scoring as well for Australia but Thurston could not convert and in the last minute Keiran Foran setting up a try for Lance Hohaia. But Benji Marshall missed and when the full time hooter rang the players all shook hands. But only one team came out dominant that was....................AUSTRALIA with a score of 20-10. Yaay!!!!

Disastrous Tornado in Albany

Yesterday at approximately at three o clock a destructive tornado pulverised the North shore of Albany. It was a devastating site which looked like Japanese soldiers had conquered the land. Torn up shreds of least to say cars. Obliterated by this mean beast tremendously roared through the streets of Albany ruthlessly twisting the whole town up side down and ruined the lives of the people. Even though over fifteen people were majorly injured and a minority of people were severely injured. 200 km is the velocity of how fast this thunderous monster was.

That extraodinary devastating creature destroyed the town of Albany. Terrifying sites were spread within the town of Albany in a record time of 2 hours and left the city with a trail of Chaos.

School Picnic

“Awaited entertainment” I said walking to our annual Pt England picnic, at the Pt England reserve. We marched down towards the reserve to find out we were there all ready. “Hop into your class lines” Mr Burt shouted out. I was tempted to run off but I stayed.

Mr Burt yelled”Go have fun”and we ran wildly. There was a variety of activities, so hard to choose. I meandered around the place untill I finally choose a sport.CRICKET!!!!!!!!!!!!

After finally choosing cricket I got bored really fast. Wicket after wicket,brutal hit after brutal hit,I began to wonder when it was my turn to bat. Then Kayde came to play. Then all of a sudden the ball went flying up in the air into my hands. It was my turn to step up and bat.

“All I need to do now is hit the ball”I said.ZOOM!!!The ball came sprinting towards me and BOOM!!!!What a hit,with the music pumping as the ball got higher,the crowds silence came to an end.Whack,Smash,Crack!!.I was ready for yet another hit.Wham!!!!!The ball went higher than it had ever been before. I simply obliterated the ball,but it crashed down into the arms of the fielder Kayde,my competitive friend.

My batting days were over and lunch time was beginning when my Mum came down and gave me my lunch. I gobbled it up like a hungry,hungry bear. When I finished my lunch with Joshua and Jephte sitting beside me. We all had to go back to school.It was fun even though time went fast.”I wonder what I’m going to do next year”.

Coming to school with my eyes almost completley shut I walked to school not seeing where I was going I headed to the hall for our year 7 and 8 camp. With everyone wandering around and all the bags in the hall I quickly threw my things to the ground and walked around looking for my friends. I was,until it was time to go to the hall.

“Lets have some fun” were the last words that came from Mr Burt. We sprung up but went to go to the Hangi Prep in the street. So we had to peel potatoes and wash them while also doing the same with the kumara. It was hard peeling the kumara until we finally got the hang of it. Peel after peel,Cut after cut we had finally finished and it was time to move to the next destination. I said quietly in my mind”Yes we’re finally finished”.

After all our activities we were the last to put up our tents. All that hard work was for something, we got to have a swim at the pools. It wasn’t for long but it was still relaxing. We finally got their and other teams were still in the pool as we headed towards the changing rooms to get changed. I really wanted to bomb but sadly we were’nt aloud to so I just jumped in and played a game where people had to catch and throw the tennis ball and I was catching it heaps of times. But all that fun made the time pass by real fast and soon we had to hop out and go back to school. When we got back then we had to have dinner and watch a movie. After that it was lights out and we had to go to sleep.

Day 2 of the camp!!!! It was just about to blast with the Rock up people having about 7 activities set up for us. As soon as we could go I knew that my favourite activity was going to be the Dunker. It looked really exciting and plus no’one had to really wait long. I found out that it was the FIRST activity that we were doing.AWESOME!!!! It was our turn to protect the people about to fall into the icy cold water. I was waiting anxiously for someone to throw the ball. Bang!!,the target was hit and someone fell into the water. After protecting and throwing and it was time to get dunked. Ball after ball, it was my turn to get dunked. I got anxious awaiting my drop. Next thing I know I had finally got dunked. It was really fun and I enjoyed that time but yet again the time passed by. When it was near night it was yet again lights out.

Swimarama was where we were going today. It was really exciting knowing that we were going to have a lot of fun. My highlight there was the Diving pool!!!! It was real awesome bombing off and also watching other people do high bombs. The hydroslide was another event that excited me because every time I went down the slide I would run and jump onto it. But when we first got their we had to do swimming relays. It took ages for it to finish Swimarama was fun and I can’t wait to go next year.

Canberra Raiders

The Canberra Raiders are an upcoming team with stars that shine so bright that Canberra demolish the teams that think they can out shine my team. They have future stars such as Josh Dugan and Blake Ferguson and the playmaking tanks Terry Campese, Jarrod Crocker and Matt Orford. And the bulldozing winger Daniel Vidot.

They play with style and last year they were the only ones who were undefeated against the Dragons who were the Rugby League Comp Winners. They pulverise in their tackles, they attack like tanks when they run and they boot the ball as if they had a robotic leg. The Raiders are a complete side with lots of agility like Daniel Vidot, toughness like Shaun Fenson and speed like Josh Dugan.

I personally think this upcoming side can win the premiership if they continue their winning streak which started with the Sharks. What a game for the Raiders crunching the Sharks up 40-12. Hopefully the raiders can come out on top. Lets do it!!!!!!

It was quiet hard figuring out what to do at first but after we got the hang of it. It was fun wondering what to do well for me it was. If you want to find out how to make a pie graph follow these instruction.

1.First we made a new sheet.
2.Then we simply added how many people like which event
3.Now on the top right hand corner there should be a picture of a graph, click on it
4.Then just wait until the pie graph picture comes up and click insert

How to pitch a tent

A list of equipment!!!
1. Unpack the Essential tent equipment which includes hammers, pegs, guy ropes and fibre glass poles which will make the structure of the tent!!!

1.Well the first step is to pull out all of the equipment that you need to build it!!!
2. ?Then unfold the base and frame of the tent flat onto the ground and you need to insure that the entrance to the tent is the right way
3.Then put in the metal pegs at a 45 degree angle and hammer the pegs down hard in to the ground!!!
4. Then with your hands get out the fibre glass put them in to the ground and slightly bend them and tie a bow onto it!!!
5.Then put the fly on top of the tent so that it can maintain its stability of its structure during high winds in the night!!!
6. And that is how you build a tent.

Camp TC Highlight

My highlight for Camp TC was the Water Dunker when the rock up people came. It was awesome and lots of people enjoyed themselves on it. It was cool either if you were throwing,protecting the person about to be dunked or being dunked yourself it was always cool.

I like this activity because even though there was heaps to choose from the Dunker stood out. I like it because 3 teams went to each activity but everyone got a lot of goes on the Dunker. We did not really have to wait for a real long time and that’s one reason that it was cool.

The first time going to tech, I WAS LATE!!!!!! I did’nt know what to do. It was either walk to tech or stay at school but I walked to tech. As soon as I got to Tamaki College, where it was held at I heard chatters of excitement as I entered the cooking class.

As soon as I got into the class I quickly chucked on an apron and jumped into Cruz’s group who had Dominiq and Kaiden as well as Cruz. I asked Cruz quietly”Hey what are we cooking”. He whispered back”Look on the screen” and I saw the word sticky buns so I assumed that’s what we were making. I was hoping we could make something else but there were very few options. That was the only option Sticky Buns.

As soon as all the ingredients were up on the board, we straight away started cooking our sticky buns.I was stuck there with nothing to do. So I helped grab some of Cruz’s stuff. While quickly grabbing all of the ingredients it was just down to melting the butter. That was the only thing left to do but it was so funny. We put the butter in for 30 seconds then SPLAT. The butter flew every where around the microwave as if its been there for 1000 years. We all started laughing.

“Yes” I said as the dough was almost ready to put in the oven. Our sticky buns were almost complete. I could not wait to gobble up those sticky buns, they smelt delicious as they were ready to cook. So we chucked it in the oven. But there’s always a consequence for cooking,DISHES!!!!!Cruz and I were the pack awayers,because we thought it was going to be a piece of cake but we did’nt know what to expect because the pack awayers do more than a washer and dryer combined. So after that we were waiting

An air of excitement broke the silence because the sticky buns were ready. I said”WOW”because they looked like heavenly angels but we had to eat them.”Yum that was delicious” I said loud and proud. I felt like I impersonated a chef the way I cooked, well we cooked.That was a great introductory lesson. I wonder what my secondary experience will be like.

Christchurch Catastrophy

While others are walking around petrified and devastated by this highly horrific waves of earthquakes. This is a catastrophy, what can Christchurch do with terror rising beneath the ground. Buses have been disintergrated and the rest of the state has been pulverised.

My first time on a netbook

I woke up in the morning saying that its time to get my netbook. I was also wondering what class I was in as well. So I got changed into my school uniform for the first time in ages and did all the stuff I usually do in the morning like brush my teeth and all that. For my first time in a long time I was ready to go to school and I was really excited about netbooks.

As soon as I got into my class which was room 20 I wondered to myself"Where is the netbo......". I had to hold that thought because the netbooks arrived. I could not wait to turn it on. So I turned it on straight away and there we go heres my netbook. We had something you call 'explore time' which meant that we could do anything on our netbooks. I decided to play games and I did not stop playing them.

The game I played was Aisle Riot Solitare which was cool even though I did not complete the game. It was fun. At the end of the day when we had to put it away I knews we would still play on it tomorrow. I love this new machine.

My Fantastic Holiday Birthday

RIINNGGG RIINNNGG. Matthew wake up its your birthday today. I jumped up out of my bed in energetic way and got changed fast knowing what today was. I mostly got changed fast because I could take my friends with me and my cousin. I could not wait one second ao I yelled I yelled’Mum hurry up!!!!”

As soon as we got my friends we had to make a little pitstop before we made our way to Rainbows End which lead to Pak’n save. All we went in for was some candy, sweets and some lunch food. We also got some lunch food because grown people do get hungrier when they grow up(I’m talking about me)

As soon as we got to Rainbows end I rushed straight to the Invader. I almost got non until my Mum said Matthew wait for your friends. I shouted in a loud voice “Ok!!!”. So as soon as I waited for my friends and cousin to jump into line, I said to my self”Here we go”. The gate opened and the ride was about to begin

Piles of smoke came out of the invader and loud noises. Those noises were the sound of the invader ready to begin,up and down, up and down the w track and up so very high then the invader comes rushing back down to the ground for a silent hault. I said”That was fun”in a normal voice, so again and again I went on the Invader and all the other rides around including the power surge that was the best.

“LUNCHTIME” my Mum yelled and we raced up to the table, mostly because we were really hungry. There was heaps of food to eat which was very nice. As we were eating we started taking photos of everyone eating, with our mouths stuffed. After we chowed down our food(there was still some more food left)we went on some more rides but the end of the day was coming.

At the end of the day me, Matthew and Colis stayed on the power surge and it was really cool. I was sitting by myself and Matthew and Colis were directly ahead of me. The place I was in was tilting to the left and right and I kept back flipping which was awesome. After one more ride on the power surge all rides shut down and we had to leave.

2010 Reflection

Finally
the week has come. After days and days of waiting,its come to an end.
Its the last week of school,every childs favourite week. But I am going
to miss school,especially all the hard work i did for my school work

One
theme that was hard but a bit awesome was writing. Looking back at term
1s writing and looking at it now,makes me feel proud. My writing has
really improved from last time and I’m really happy.

The
next theme is maths, my favourite subject. Each term we have been
learning some thing different,which helps us kids out a lot. Well it has
really helped me out!(I am at the level AM which is a year 7 grade)

What
has been the most awesome thing to do this year was going to camps.
Especially Camp Bentzon,it was the hardest camp,well for me it was.
Mostly because I came home with scraps and scratches all over me. But
camps help us to learn things that we need to.

I
think the 2010 year at Pt England school has been pretty cool,to be
honest. Ive enjoyed this year. Lets see what next year has installed for
us?

A Great Time To Bomb

It was the second day of our camp and we had been tremendously tired from our adventures,until the favourite event by far was about to happen happen. The wonderful day of,BOMBING OF THE WHARF AT KAWAU ISLAND!!!It was heaps of fun. All of my friends were laughing but bombing at the same time. Everyone enjoyed the time that they had bombing and swimming. It was like a favourite thing to do.

But now that we have gone back to school,I wish that we had not left in the first place. That place is AWESOME!!!I cannot wait to go back to Kawau Island,well hopefully I do

Thrilling Grand Final

With over 80,000 people in a stadium screaming and chanting the names of the grand finalists, out they came. With seismic roars from the crowd the St George Illawarra Dragons take on the Sydney Roosters in what will be a memoric battle.

BRRR! The kick off was made and the possession went to the Dragons. After a while, the Dragons came out on top as Mark Gasnier perfectly timed his run off Jamie Sowards kick and he had got the Dragons on the board. With Jamie converting the goal beautifully the score was settled at 6-0.

All of a sudden thunder struck at the dragons when Rooster players Braith Anasta and Mitch Orbison scoring for their team. Unfortunately for the roosters Todd Carney was having a bad day missing both goals. So when the half time hooter sounded, the advantage went to the Roosters leaving the score at 8-6

I think that the star so far is Braith Anasta. The Roosters captain has been focusing on the ball and eyes are sharp locking on to the target like a sniper assassin. That is mostly why he scored that try that he got. If he keeps this up the Roosters may have a chance of beating St George.

The second half begins and the Roosters career ends. With in the time limit the Dragons Jason Nightingale scores a double in the corner. Thunder has just struck in the same place and a pumped up Soward converted it all. Then a penalty was awarded to the Dragons from Jared Waera Hargrave jumping into a tackle too late. So yet again Soward converts and the score was 20-8.

It gets worse for the Roosters when Nathien Fien and Dean Young score and in the 70 minute mark. There was no way the Roosters could catch up. Especially with Soward yet again doing his job kicking the goals over. The fulltime hooter sounded with a Dragons victory over the Roosters. Finally after 35 years the Dragons claim the win at the grand final.

What a good season for the Dragons. They came from Just missing out last year to the winners of the grand final. But my most interesting thing was the Roosters and how they made it to the glory. Last year they were the wooden spoon winners(Last Place) and now they are second and missed out by a gun shot. Ohh well that was an impressive victory for the Dragons.

A painful school run

“Urrgh”I groaned as I slumbered out of bed,waking up to an unpleasant idea”Cross Country.I thought I was going insane. When I had reached the school,I moaned”OhhNoo!!!!I FORGOT MY SICK NOTE””. I just have to man up and do it,but a feeling of pain came over me just thinking about cross country.

Fortunately I looked at the weather thinking it was about to rain. Suddenly a shock of suprise came when I saw everyone in lines dressed in 4 colours of blue,green,yellow and red. So I lined up in my team line Te Arawa and moaned even more when it was going from oldest to youngest.

I was really nervous and apprehended about this race:What if I collap....”before I could finish my sentence,a big clap of thunder from two blocks of wood started the race. I just jogged but seemed to to be coming fourth.Things started geting better until we passed the first tree,then I was dead last,behind everyone.This was a nightmare.I dont want to be known as a slow boy who never tries. That thought kept me motivated.

Out of nowhere I was halfway through the coarse,but out of the 50 competitors I was coming 25th.”Only 25 more competitors to go,until I come first”.I felt like I was Usain Bolt but even faster than him. By the time I passed the 3 quarter mark of the race,I was 4th.So proud of myself I caught up to the top 3 racers.

It was a sprint to the finish. I got past third and second,just one more to beat. Could I make it or not?Just five metres away.Come on you can do it. The crowd went as wild as zoo animals on the loose. Zoom!!.What a finish. Checking it on a slo mo replay,it shows that my foot reached the line before my competitor.

I was happy but also reluctant.By passing the finish line with so much pressure on me, I said”Ohh Noo I forgot I had asthma”.I was choking like a snake wrapped tight around a mans neck.But suddenly I realized I didnt have asthma.By that thought I awoke from my dreams.”Urrghhh!!!!Whats today”.”CROSS COUNTRY NOOOOO!!!!!!.

Israel Folau

Israel Folau is a talented player that is 21 years of age. He used to play for the cheating team that everyone knows as Melbourne Storm,but moved to my former best team the Brisbane Broncos. He also plays for the almighty Queensland. His height is unbelievable for his age. His strength and shear force would be enough to stop a raging bull from running at him. He is centre, which has a jar full of speed and agility. He is one of my favourite players because he always finds a way to get over the try line even if he has to step,swerve and bump his way.

Moving from the Melbourne Storm was a good idea because if he stayed with them for a little bit longer,he would not have been able to compete for the NRL Telstra Premiership for a year. Which would of stunk badly. He is one of the centres that I admire. He is mighty and he is ISRAEL FOLAU!!!!!

Warriors vs Sharks

The Warriors hope to keep their dreams alive as they travel down to Shark Park to challenge the Cronulla Sharks. The Warriors have been on a two week losing streak and wish to regain there win streak. As the crowd goes wild,both teams come out with a fire inside their soul.

BRRRRRR!!!The siren sounded as the kick off was made. Warriors retained the ball and were driving to the try line to get the early lead. It was a mumble jumble for the ball but finally the Warriors had enough,with their great centre Brent Tate scoring from the kick off Maloney to get the Warriors on the board. Warriors 6 Sharks 0.

All of a sudden Nathan Gardner had made a break through the defence line of the Warriors and offloaded to the all mighty Trent Barret to score his first try of the night and conceed the goal. The score level was now tied. Around the 30th minute,the hooker Aaron Heremia stepped his way through Shark Defenders and offloaded to a powered James Maloney who had scored and kicked the conversion.

Then Joel Moon made another break.Out of nowhere the speed of Nathan Gardner kicked in. Joel Moon tried to beat Nathan but failed,which made me go WHAT!!! He should of went forward and gained more metres.When Manu had been given the ball,the ref blew his whistle to an entitled high tackle. Before halftime,James Maloney yet again,kicks the goal to go into half time with the score at 14-6.

James Maloney has been having a great kicking game. Admired by his kicks,I knew he remembered to bring his kicking boots to the field and not leave them at home. By not yet missing a goal,he brought the Warriors a sigh of relief because if he missed,the Sharks could have easily backfired and brought the pressure to the Warriors.

Second Half here we come. With the kick off from the Warriors,the Sharks had finally got the ball and could try to do something. But the Warriors defence was too strong and yet again,scored again with another kick from Maloney into the hands of Sharks winger Blake Ferguson and nearly touching the edge of the finger tips of Manu Vatuvei. The ball almost went over the Sharks dead ball line until Joel Moon reached his hands out and scored. They took the footage to the video referee and it was a benefit of the doubt try.

As you know James kicks it again. Then the Warriors had put more pressure on the Sharks with the passes all the way to the youngster Bill Tupou to score his first International try. James Maloney yet again converting the goal,to make the score 26-6. Then again Bill Tupou scores in the corner and Maloney converts which then made the score 32-6.

Suddenly the Sharks strike back with a thunderous try. The kick was stabbed along the ground. Bill Tupou tried to recover the ball but failed and lead the Sharks winger to score and Trent Barret to miss. I was relieved to see that Barret missed because you never know when someone could come back in a game like this.

Finally Shark fans were cheering for their team as they score in the 60th minute. But after the incident,all bad memories of Bill Tupou dropped,after receiving an intercept pass by Trent Barret which lead the youngster to score a hatrick(three tries). Sadly Maloney had dropped the magic on his boots and missed by a sharp edge. Late in the game with only 2 minutes to go, Maloney regained his magic and retained his teams hope but to kill the Sharks dreams with an on target drop goal.

As the end siren sounded,Warriors supporters and the Warriors were cheering and celebrating from their win over the Sharks. The Sharks at Shark Park in Australia have been Cronullified

Why did we draw Mrs Tele'a??

Our extension class focused on drawing maps except this was no map, it was Mrs Telea. Each one of us had a different perspective(view) of Mrs Tele'a and had to draw her. I guess your wondering why we had to draw her. Well we had to because we were looking at how to draw maps. Also different reference points and not to do distort(change)images.

A lot of us had our own style of drawing Mrs Tele'a. The drawing that people were most definitely sure was the best is Cruz. He has a cool drawing with a different style to his scale. Every ones drawings are yet to be recognized by other people that visit there blogs. We all tried our best at drawing and finally succeeded in our art work. Even if it still remains a mystery to people why we were drawing Mrs Telea it is related to maps and we were trying not to distort images or stories that we draw or tell.

Vaka Voyages

Back then they did'nt have maps or little motors hidden in a big ship. All they had was a waka also known as a vaka and people including Navigators. Navigators were like the maps, they look for signs such as birds,stars,sea swells,clouds and the sun.

Josh Dugan

Josh Dugan is one of my favourite fullbacks because of his tremendous speed,agility and power that he has to get over a try line. I like his determination and courage for his team and my best future team the Canberra Raiders. He also plays for the country team which includes good players such as Luke Burt. He was also one of the best U20 players that I have ever seen play.

Josh has a way that just gets him over the line and makes tackle busts and also makes line breaks. I like the way he plays even though the Raiders aren't in the top eight they are still playing good footy. He is a really determined player that I would love to have on my team if I was the coach for the Raiders. He should play in the QLD(Queensland) team which are made up of the best players. Or play for NSW(New South Wales). Well either one even if he does not play for Queensland or New South or any of them he will still be one of the best fullbacks.

Polynesian history

Polynesians from the east were the first to set foot on Aotearoa. They came on single outriggers or double hulls,which were 15-20 meters long. Once they had stepped on Aotearoa they were soon called Maoris.

Trained navigators steered the canoes because they knew to follow the birds in the day, and stars by night to find this new land. They had to travel through the pacific ocean. But only a few people survived the stormy weather and the battling seas, just to find the place as we know it as Aotearoa.

Term 3's new theme Mighty Mariners

When I set foot into assembly I wondered with shock"Is the theme about Pirates fighting Barbarians?". Once assembly had started I soon found out that it was mighty mariners. That got me wondering in no mans land trying to figure out what its about.

Mr Burt had explained it all so that it made sense. It was time for team 1 to steal the show with their movie about a Maori person named Kupe found New Zealand/Aoteroa. I thought the movie was pretty good including the graphics, I thought that they were amazing especially the way they were drawn.

It is time for team 2 to have the spotlight on them(Or should I say two people). One teacher dressed as captain James Cook and the other dressed like a pirate asking for some kind of gold treasure. That was really funny. I liked the part where the pirate or should I say Mrs She was waving her sword madly like a grizzly dog waiting for its meal. So hilarious for me.

Team 3 its your time to shine. I like the way that they came up and still acted to get us warmed up with laughter inside of us and to show a familiar movie but funny one. From Disney channel the Muppets on a pirate ship fighting to save a girly muppet. I thought that it was a good movie

Time for my team 4 to steal the show with there cool act with Mr Funny who I should say Mr Barks came up with a red barbarian beard. I knew that he was going to talk about something funny. Then Ms Squires and all the other teacher came up then gladly bowed down for us to give them claps and cheers.

Its time for Ms Funny(Ms Tito)to take the stage with her wild Australian act. She was talking for ages and ages about herself which was funny and made me laugh. Then she got to the point when she said"Who knows who I am". Instantly people shot there hand into the air like a bullet from a sniper. But Ms Tito could only choose one and she choose Kalim. He answered it correctly and her name was Jessica Watson....... well we just clapped.

I thought that we were going to go but suddenly Mr J the music one came up and we had to sing a little pirate song. We didn't need the words because its only six lines. Once we had finished our yoho pirate song we began to stand up and leave.

I thought that Mighty mariners was going to be a cool term theme.

Tarawera reflection(PMI)

Positive:Team work was good and all working together.We have great graphics and were using animations that were fantastic and good enough to go on P.E.N.N. That was our goal. The people that were in my team was Matthew R,Joshua,Erene and me.

Our team worked like Brothers and we really knew what we were doing around at the time on the computer.

Minus:The thing that had bothered me was that we could not do our whole animation because we were to lazy. We had done all of the voice over but not the animation. I reckon that I could of done more than what I had done before.

The thing is that we kept talking to much. We also had to keep changing our script and making heaps of mistakes when we recorded our voice over because we bursted out laughing.

Interesting:The interesting thing was that we hardly did anything with our animation. I personally think that all of us were lazy and that we could do way better than what we have done right now. But at least everyone communicated in our team and we all knew what our members were doing.

I actually was surprised of our animation. But we had actually finished our stuff. But for my personal opinion. Joshua was a worker that worked hard. I would give him an 18/20 because he always works hard and even if he talks to people, he gets the job done

Well that's it for the PMI(Positive,Minus,Interesting) and that's what I think we should of done

Hosea Gear

Hosea Gear. A fabulous player who always busts the line at least one time. once he can see the try line there is no stopping this guy. He will step,swerve,fend or even bump off players twice the size of him or someone around his height.

Hosea Gear is a rugby man who plays for the unstoppable NZ Maori, the destructive force Hurricanes, the tall, almighty Wellington Lions.

He always knows how to score or how to get around players marking him and trying to devastate him in a tackle.

He was really unlucky not to be picked by All Black draft pickers to play in the Investic Tri Nations . Cory Jane and Hosea Gear would of been a great combination of wingers for the All Blacks. They also probably would of been favourites of the Tr Nations if he was in it. I wonder why they didn't pick him? The unstoppable Hosea Gear

Coverage of NZ Maoris VS England

NZ Maoris ran into the field with an exploding roar from the crowd. With Liam Messam leading them onto the field it was the crowds favourite time of the lead off,the HAKA. Hosea Gear lead them through a tremendous, astounding noise which came from the heart of the NZ Maoris.

Once the whistle had sounded the English kicked off hoping to score an early try. They had gained the ball from the ruck and spread it wide. Armitage had scored a try by an amazing kick try. Then Charlie Hodgson converted the try and also kicked a penalty goal because the NZ line was off side,before the 30th minute they were up 10 points to nil.

Then Maoris didn't like what they were seeing so they had to do something. Hosea Gear had put his hand up to run and he had driven his way to the try line to score a try.With Luke MCalister converting a goal the score was now 7-10. But again the English had gotten a penalty and kicked for goal and that made the score 13-7 and another kick for goal which pushed the score up by three more points.Things got better when Liam Messam the captain had scored a brilliant try over in the right hand corner. Shaking there captains hand it was up to Mcalister to get the conversion. But sadly he missed and they went into half time with the score at 12-16.

The leading man the star of the game so far Hosea Gear. After having an interview with players from both team, they ran off the field leaving the English captain Charlie Hodgeson happy. What could the Maoris do to survive.

Both teams are hyped up with the kick off beginning, the Maoris had began to go full force with Hosea gear scoring two more tries and the English skipper Danny Care and wing Chris Ashton scoring. Charlie Hodgson missed one goal and got the other and Luke kicked all his goals over. That made the score 26-28. With english still in the lead Luke had yet again kicked over a penalty goal which took the Maoris up and were in the lead. All of a sudden Stephen Brett was pulled off the field for Willy Ripia and Charlie Hodgson having fallen down with stars above his head. Willy had kicked two penalty goals and that sealed the game.

After a tremendous come back the Maoris win 28-35. The player of the day for me was Hosea Gear and Luke Mcalister because even though injuries have ruined Lukes career,he was a stand out player for me and the old Luke(Which is the bets Luke)has come back breaking the English line a lot of times. And well when you say Hosea Gear you will know that he is a star phenominon and always works his way around or through defenders. That was the game GO MAORIS!!!!!!!!!!!

An adventuring camp week

Excitement fell out of my head as I was heading home from school. This was no ordinary week of primary,it was a time where we could stay 2 nights in big,huge set up tents. "We had an amazing camp week" I said to myself with joy

We were travelling by van to make our way to Rock Climbing!!. We were waiting outside for a while until,an employee that works there opened the door for us to go inside. We went to grab our harnesses and sat down quietly waiting for someone to instruct us to what do.

After they told us I went off to the jack and the beanstalk rock climb. I made my way up the beanstalk, putting my hands through the holes in the stalks which was on the side. Finally I got up to the top in a good time of 15 seconds. As I was coming down I said to myself quietly"That was very cool I should go here more often"

When it came to going to the icicle land of ice,Skate land I said to myself''This is going to be a peace of cake". As I happily slipped on my roller skates I had a little try of skating. The results were stink,Stink,STINK. When I reached the ice I fell and landed on my left stomach section. "That was pretty sore"I said to myself

After along time of skating,when I had now got use to it,we played a game of ice limbo. This was a game where it is different to the limbo we play on land. We had to bend down and try to get under the stick. It was my turn,so I skated under and made it with ease. When the stick was put to half way I felt nervous. So much pressure was put on me as I tried to get under But....... I failed,I had knocked over the stick. After that it was time to go.

It was day 2 at camp. We had an early start to the morning by going to Orienteering. Mr J was explaining to us what we had to do then off we went following the compass to where it leads us. We started off at #12 then kept looking at the directional arrow. It lead Carlos and I to one yellow card to another yellow card to another yellow card. We found all the letters at last.

So we sat down and tried to figure out the answer to the orienteering letters. Then Mr J sounded his trumpet and I quickly wrote our answer and rushed inside. My answer was Ok then is it kind,true,necessary. That was the exact right answer but I did'nt get it in the correct order. So that means I got it wrong.

It was day 3 in camp which meant it was the final day. That was sad but in another way I felt joyfully happy. It was our time to go to Swim-orama. First we had swimming races to decide who was going to the inter school swimming contest. When that was done we could go anywhere except for the diving board.

The thing I went on was the hydro slide when it was my first go my friends were letting my go in front of him while other people suggested I was pushing in. But at the end of the day we had to go back to school to get picked up.

That was the end of our camp it was one of the best camps that I have ever been to.

Tigers Make A Statement To Warriors

The Tigers proved to the Warriors that they are the supreme team for there match at there home ground Campbell Sport Stadium. I thought it was going to be a challenging match. Its going to start and the favourites for me are the Tigers and not the Warriors.

BRRRRRRRRRR. The whistle sounded and the game started. The first try was scored by the centre Michael Flanagan. The Tigers were in the lead with a score of four to nill.Then the Warriors come back with the first try scorer Joel Moon. Brett Seymour converted and the score came to 4-6. Half time came and the score stayed the same heading into the locker rooms the coaches have to say something to their teams fast.

It was the second half and the Tigers picked up there act with Lote Tuqiri scoring a double,Beau Ryan scoring one and also Robbie Farah and Chris Lawrence getting there first try. Geff Daniella scoring a hatrick of tries. The Warriors had still stayed at just one try. I imagined that Ivan Cleary the coach got real made with the poor defence the Warriors had. The Tigers were just too good and proved to the Warriors that they are better. It was full time and the final score was 50-6. I was cheering but only quite because I expected more than just a 44 point win. I expected the score like 30 to Tigers and 16 to Warriors.

Ohh well the Tigers have ruled the Warriors at Campbell Sport Stadium in Australia. How will the Warriors react next week. The Tigers did with there embarrassing loss to the Rabbitohs 50-10. Go the TIGGGEEERRRSSS!!!!!!!!!

A Supreme Suprise Hokey Pokey

Have you ever made Hokey Pokey?It is really nice and also makes a nice delight taste in your mouth. It is sweet and not sour and is caramel with a delicious smell.

Mr Hunia dissolved both of the following ingredients,sugar and golden syrup into a pan. He added the final ingredient baking soda which frothed up and formed Hokey Pokey. Before adding the baking soda ,the content looked like liquefied goo which hardened forming molten rock. It is like looking at a rock monster except it is in a pot and is really small.

When Hokey Pokey is scolding hot,it is goey and free flowing. When it becomes cold,it turns into a brittle substance and it is very fragile.(Broken Easily).It looked like broken up pieces of rock.

After waiting for a few moments,the hokey pokey started to cool down and turn brittle.This reminded me of lava being cooled down and hardenening.Mr hunia quickly scraped out the hokey pokey from the pot and transferring it to a baking tray covered with butter.I saw shattered bits resembling.

Speaking of hokey pokey,thinking of it makes me dream of scoria rock being thrown in the sky and out of the volcano's vent.

The Hurricanes come out victorious after beating those Australian Brumbies beating them by 10 points. It was a devasting match but they managed to win by a score from 23-13. The South Sydney Rabbitohs is now my favourite team for 2010. The have sometimes been committed to winning and make a vow not to lose. Just like last Sunday, they had a tremendous win over last years the runners up for the cup, the Eels. I think that Rabbitohs have a chance to win the NRL Telsra Premieship. They have only lost twice and won the rest of there games. I have hopes for them to win. My favourite players in the Rabbits are Isaac Luke, Roy Asotasi, Rhys Wesser and the great halfback Chris Sandow. The Rabbitohs are the best. GOOOO SOUTH SYDNEY RABBITOHS!!!!!!

The Hurricanes

My favourite rebel sport team for this year is the Hurricanes. They were undefeated so far winning three games in a row for this year until they had a depressing loss against the Cheetahs. Then they lost again and again until they had three wins and three loses and now they have more loses than wins now. The thing that inspires me about this team is about there determination. They have a time to use it and a time where they can't put determknation in. Besides all of the bad things I said about the Hurricanes I think that they should go on and win the Rebel Sport Super 14 Finalle. Anyway I hope they do. 3 Marvellous School Highlights for 2010

I have three highlights for 2010 that have been the best things that I have witnessed. Here it comes this is the highlights I have been through and liked.

The third highlight of school that I liked was meeting the one and only DWAYNE EDWARDS. It was an exciting moment, I mean what lucky people are we to have a conference with a famous Nike shoe designer. You don't see that every day. The day that it happened was on a great,joyful Friday.

My next highlight is making it in to extension. It was great knowing that I had made it in. I was proud of myself but I just got in. If I didn't make it in extension I would not have met Dwayne in a conference. I think that extension is cool and a special class.

But the best thing was going to our school camp. Sleeping in the tents was one of the best things at camp but the best thing was going to rock climbing. I think that I did really good at climbing the rock climbs. When it was time to go I felt stink. At least our camp was fun

Van Gogh

Van Gogh was an artist but when he was still alive,his art wasn't recognized by anyone. He was a poor man when he was alive and only a few people purchased his art work.

He has a brother named Theo and he would sometimes but hardly ever would send him some money and Van Gogh would go to his favourite restaurant to eat.

He made his paintings non realistic but they were very good paintings. His style of painting was to do lines on his marvellous art work. Even though no one liked them.

Once he got so mad that he cut his ear off. He sent it in a shoe box and posted it to his wife. That was gross but the unimaginable thing was that he was still alive. The worst thing is that he had shot himself and 2 days later he had died and committed suicide. The reason he did that was because hardly anyone liked his art. After alot of years people started to recognize his paintings and they would pay heaps of money for it. That was Van Goghs sad life.

The Year 5's Spectacular Picnic

On Thursday the year 5's had a very amazing picnic. We had groups and our group was called Jabbawockanators. Don't you think that is a strange name. We had all the food in the class. The food was tempting me to have a bite but luckily I resisted it. Rooms 15,14 and 16 went to the bottom field and we had lots of fun playing the following games that are Midnight,T Ball,Touch and Soccer. It was a really fun day. The first game that I played was touch. When I knew that I was playing touch

I said"Yay that is cool I love this game". The reason that I liked touch was because I am speedy and I can get past people on the outside. We had to get into groups of five. The people that I was with was Miracle,Matthew R,Shawn,Toko and Me. The rules were that if someone scores once you win. We were the first people to play. We played Sifa's team. Suddenly........... the ref who was Jarna's mum said that we could get into teams of ten. I said in a loud voice"Awesome". But then things started to not go right and the ref said"This is too hard just get back into groups of five. I said"Its a celebration wait wait wait what oohhhhh". We played Jarna's team and guess what we LOST. Because they got around the outside. I mumbled in a sad voice"Damn that stinks we lost". We were waiting for our turn and when it was our turn guess what Ms Squires called us up. I said"Wow that is the second bad thing that has happened to me".

They called us back so that we could do another activity. I still wanted to play touch because I like that game. The next activity I went to was T-Ball. I reckon that it would of been cool playing T-Ball. I was the captain of one side and Lewis was the captain of the other side. My side wanted to field first so I went with there suggestion. It was fun. The person that was running the game was Ms Nada. As soon as everyone in the other team had finished batting I thought that it was our turn but we had the rules all mixed up. By the way talking about rules she forgot to tell us what they were. So Ms Nada just said"Switch over" and we did. I was the second person to bat out of my team. I looked in the sky and I imagined in my mind that the blue sky was saying in a cheerful voice"Hit the ball to me". But I ignored my thought and hit it like it was my last chance for life. It went over Nikora's head and slammed to the ground like a sledge hammer hitting it. I ran as fast as I could so that I could get to bass and the result for the run was.......SAFE. I said in my mind a loud cheerful cheer,I said"YEAAAHHH THAT'S RIGHT I MADE IT TO THE FIRST BASS YEAH". Then a huge hit came from Jeyan and off I went. I shot off like a bullet and ran as fast as a man having a showdown with another man but with guns. And guess what I made it to the THIRD BASS. I ran past the second bass because the other team did not regather the ball yet. And the final hit which sent me for a HOME RUN.

After it had finished we got back to our lines and got ready to travel back to class. When we were heading back the sky was as grey as some cats. It looked like it was going to rain so we quickly rushed back to class so that we could miss the rain. Who can guess what is next......... I will tell you it is time to EAT. We got all our food ready on our tables and I said in my mind with a joyful voice"LETS EAT". We all started to eat and our group brought some very delicious food for example e.g Popcorn,Farmbake Cookies,Huge cookies,Pizza Bread and all kinds of other stuff. Everyone was enjoying there lovely,delicious feast. When it was lunch time we had to pack our lovely food away so that we could play. I did not want to play. Miss Squires said"Just take hand fulls". I said"Yeah Awesome". I grabbed a hand full of pop corn then cleaned uyp the table once the food was gone and packed away.

I enjoyed playing and eating at our fun and spectacular picnic. The game that I liked playing was T-Ball and the food that I liked eating was the popcorn. I hope you can go to a picnic and enjoy your one to like the year 5's did.

When he gets knocked down he will always try and get back up to his feet. He has been in matches with old boxers like Muhammad Ali and the Overcomer Evander Holyfield also the machine fighting Sonny Liston. He has a big match coming up against the modern favourite Danny Green. Roy Jones Jr has one of the most powerful boxing hands ever known. His skills is unmatchable to Danny Green. I think that he is going to win the fight against Danny Green. He is unstoppable somtimes when he is on fire.

Jonathan Thurston is a very fine player. He plays for the North Queensland Cowboys,Queensland,Australia. He is the kicker and he is a very good kicker. He is also one of those fast runners. I like him for his excellent kicking skills,his agility and his very good stepping skills. Jonathan Thurston has attempted to kick from very far away places. Sometimes he could even get them over if he was lucky. In the Grand Final of the Four Nations tournament he was the player of the day. He did a very good intercept. I reckon that Jonathan Thurston will go far with his excellent kicking tactics. He does very good scores and can do one of the best drop goals and chips over the top. In the morning when we first got to school my mind was thinking and said"What is the topic for this term". I did not mind what it was but I know that the staff would make a good one.

The bell for eight fifty rang and everyone went back to class. When we got to the hall.We were the first ones to get there. Then all the other classes came in.

Mr Burt,Cruz and Sam were cooking chicken wings and sausages. Mr Burt said that they were the BBQ boys and they said"Whoever is being good will get a sausage and if you are the bomb you will get a chicken wings".I said to myself"This terms topic must be about food again".Then after a while he said"The topic for this term is food glorious food

It was time for team ones item. We were wondering what they were doing. Until they said"We are the rock cafe and we rock. They got some sausages from the BBQ and handed out the sausages to people who were sitting up nicely. We had lots of fun.

When team three came up they were very crack up. They were dressed as Mexicans and the were wearing sanbreros and were abot to play a game of whack a pinyata. The game started and Miss Mac'kinaly and Miss Walters were the ones who were whacking the pinyata Miss Lavakula was holding the stick for the pinyata. They stopped hitting the pinyata and just opened the pinyata with their bare hands. Miss Garden said"These children are stronger than you two".

After a while Mr Burt turned on the music and all the classes started to move out of the hall. This terms topic looks pretty cool.

On October 9 I watched the fight of the century. When it was on I was so excited. It was David Tua vs Shane Cameron in a 12 round match. I especially like the build up to the match .

Both contenders got into the ring and they started to fight. In the first minute It was looking like a very close match but after the second minute David Tua was beating Shane Cameron up. Shane Cameron looked like he was just a punching bag.After the first round Shane Cameron was so tired and did not block that much that David Tua smashed Shane Cameron in the first round. It looked like David Tua was the terminator and pummeled him very good. After their break the came back to fighting it was the second round. It was time to make Shane Cameron devastated with a mean left hook to the cheek. David Tua hit Shane Cameron with a mean left hook and Shane Cameron was down. Lets count 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10. The bell rang . Here's your new champion David Tua. There was a huge celebration. The crowd was going wild. So the winner was DAVID TUA!!!!! When I was getting ready to stand up everyone was already up and going to the start line. I was anxiously awaiting for the race to start. As I was saying to myself "I can do it" I heard a voice say"On your marks,get set"and BANG!! the clapper sounded. All the racers were powering ahead but Sampson and I were ahead of the other racers. We were jostling for position. I just got ahead of him and I was ahead.

Then I started to lack energy and people were getting past me. Then I started losing my position. By the time I had reached Ms Tito many about six people were in front of me. I started to lack some more energy and people that were behind me were catching up. But I said to myself"Even though the people that are in front of you are well and truly ahead of you do not give up and keep trying" so I did not give up I kept going. I had just gone past the gate and nearly finished the race.

I felt like I was going to pass out while I was running but did'nt I kept running. I said to myself"Run like the wind Matthew because you sre almost there".I listened to myself and got past ther finish line. I was so tired that I did not want to walk anymore.

The Cross country was cool this term. I can't wait for the next cross country.

My favourite team in league for 2009 is the Dragons. The full name is St George Illawarra. One of the best players that I like in their team is Ben Hornby,Jamie Soward and Wendell Sailor. They are all very good players. They are on the top. Even though the Dragons did lose to the Paramata eels I still like them. The Dragons are not out of the competition yet because they are on the top and the top team gets two chances. The Dragons have won against heaps of people and they deserve to be on the top. They are one of the best teams in the NRL. I hope they win the Telstra Premiership. Anyway if they don't win the Dragons have already got the minor premiership. The Dragons are who I like. They are th ST GEORGE DRAGONS ILLAWARRAAAA

Daniel Carter

A person in the All Blacks that I like is Daniel Carter. He is one of the best drop goalers. I like him because he has good kicking abilitys. He also plays in the teams Canterbury and the Crusaders. Dan Carter has been playing in the All Blacks for many years now and he has played for the Crusaders and Canterbury for a while aswell. He is the man. He is DANIEL CARTER!!

Another person that I like in boxing is Shane Cameron. He has to defeat the Tuaminator on October the 3rd. He has won the heavy weight championship a couple of times. He has defeated heaps of people. He has beat them knockout and by decision. He might be stronger than the champ David Tua only if he can knock him out or win by a decision. He has been boxing like a champ lately. Shane Cameron is a young champion. He looks like he is in his 30's . He is SHANE CAMERON!!

My favourite person in Tekken is Jin Kazama. He is the son of Kazuya Mishima. I like hiom because of his moves. They are really strong. He will one day be over come by devil jinpachi and he will be named Devil Jin. Jin is one of the best people in Tekken. His grandfather is Hehachi Mishima because that is who Kazuyas Dad is. He is very powerful when he turns into Devil Jin. That form is one of the strongest forms in Tekken. He is JIN KAAAAZZZAAMA!!!

A person I like in Dragon Ball Z is Vegeta in a form that is called Super Vegeta. THat si my favourite form of Vegeta. He is very staunch and strong and he looks really bolky. Super Vegeta might be as strong as Goku's normal form. He has a son called Trunks. Trunks can evolve into Super Trunks like Vegeta. Vegeta has a wife that's name is Bulma. She has a really funny name. Super Vegeta is one of the best people I like. HE IS SUPER VEGETA!!!!!!
